WBC is Cooking the Pacquiao vs Marquez 2

posted by Philippines Review in Boxing

The World Boxing Council president Jose Sulaiman finally issued Juan Manuel Marquez another mandatory defense against Manny Pacquiao should he win the coming fight against Mexico’s Rocky Juarez. Marquez is scheduled early this November 3, 2007 to fight against another Mexican Rocky Juarez in the fight dubbed here in the Philippines as “Lagablaban” in a super featherweight championship fight for 12 rounds in Las Vegas Nevada.

Prior to the actual date of fight, WBC announces that Juan Manuel Marquez made it to the weight limit of 60 pounds for the seven-day weigh-in while Rocky Juarez according to his medical records in the WBC charts needs to update his medical records. On the other hand, everybody is looking forward to the coming of Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao fight 2 as this will surely fall under the best fights of the year should this scheme make it to the first quarter of the year 2008.

Meanwhile, in the papers of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, WBC issued through their president Jose Sulaiman another call for the champion Juan Manuel Marquez to defend his title in his next fight against Manny Pacquiao should he win the November 3 schedule fight.

Despite failed efforts to match again the fury of both fighters in the ring, Jose Sulaiman said in an interview that both fighters are willing to fight each other as this will prove once and for all doubts of who is who in the ring of champions.

Should Rocky Juarez win over an upset against Juan Manuel Marquez, then the first will also be obliged to make a defense over the Pacman who seem to literally eat up all his opponents in the ring and defeat them all including two Mexican boxing icons Marco Antonio ‘the baby-faced assassin” Barrera and Erik “el terrible” Morales.

If Manny declines for the third time, then the president would have to go their way as it is truly that Pacquiao camp doesn’t want to fight Marquez at all. The fate of the Philippines and the Filipino boxing fans are at stake here so this had better come out by next year as a good blast to start the new year in the boxing arena.

The Barangay and SK Elections Showed Political Hopes of Filipinos

The Barangay and SK Elections 2007

The Barangay and SK elections 2007 turned out to be one of the most peaceful elections ever held in the history of all elections in the Philippines according to the data gathered regarding the turnout and happenings in the local Barangay and SK elections by the different government institutions.

A Case of Lost Names and Missing Voter’s List

According to the news today, October 29, 2007, after the long days of the hectic seeing through of names and registry numbers by voters, even if the total number of voters dramatically increased this year from 68% to a total of about 80% in the Barangay elections and in the SK elections there were some unavoidable circumstances and cases of missing names and lost registrants.

These people were not able to vote this day and were angry at the COMELEC officials saying that after seeking their name on the voter’s list of COMELEC, thery were not able to vote because their names were missing from the list that were passed on to the Barangays for the voting process today.

The Barangay and SK Elections were Overall Peaceful

Just as what the news today said, based on the tally and data of media reports regarding the turnout of the Barangay and SK Elections 2007, it was overall peaceful and in fact the most peaceful of all elections ever held in the history of the Philippines. There were some reported incidents of harassment and bribery but most were not documented ones and in small villages in the provinces only.

Another untoward incident came from Sulu where some of the warring clans of our brother Muslims were battling it out using force and guns caused the COMELEC to declare failure of elections as what everybody else expects of the said area. There were also some Barangays that also reportedly had declarations of failure of elections with other causes other than harassment, violence or bribery but today is by far still the most peaceful election ever held in the history of the Philippines.

The SK Elections is a Notch Onwards Youth Participation

The participation of the youth in the Barangay and SK elections today helped the public know that the new generation will not stand on the sides and watch the country take a step towards a new era of politics as the youth from age 15 to 18 take a stand at their right to vote in the elections and once again be part of the growing population who understands what it is to be part of the decision making in the community.

Hope fully this will be the start of politicizing the public population of the youth to contribute to progress and know that truly, “the youth is the hope of the Filipino nation” and that this is the new era of young people getting involved in the governance of the local communities today. We are also proud here at the Philippines blog to be part of this important history-making agenda for the Philippines and the Filipino as one.

Today is the most important part of history of the Philippines and we are once again a proud nation to stand in all our deepest sorrows and misfits in life and let today be the start of a new era and a day dawning for clean politics in the Philippines. Yes! to clean elections and no to trapos and black election machineries!!!

Safe and Easy Way to Pay with Paypal

The PayPal Payment System

PayPal is a safe and easy way to pay dues or send money without the need to expose your credit card number like the traditional way with other types of payment and sending money. It is a kind of electronic commerce system service of paying dues and sending money that involves money transfer through a secure internet payment system that does not reveal your credit card numbers nor pins to other internet users to avoid hacking of accounts and loosing money to scams. Some of the system by which the PayPal payment processes may be used are as follows: for online vendors, selling and buying center sites, auction sites where you can either buy or receive money and other online corporate users.

Today, PayPal is very popular with webmasters while many among the best ones who earn a great deal of income from internet services use their services which means that they have what it takes to make it big in the business which is “TRUST”. With the use of their secure electronic commerce system payment service, PayPal entitles themselves for a certain payment or fee to be incurred as a standard charge.
Integrity and Security over Sending Money Safely

Available in many parts of the world, PayPal is the most popular way to send money to the Philippines now as they opened up their service to the paying and buying public last October due to clamors and requests of webmasters, internet business owners and affiliate marketing people coming from the Philippines. This was earlier supported by a group of SEO specialists and SEM professionals alike from the Philippines gathering support trough a signature campaign to allow the integrity of the service to take its effect in the country.

This signature campaign quickly spread out like mushroom with the help of SEO Philippines members and other local affiliate marketing specialists wherein this Philippines blog author took part by signing. This further proves that PayPal indeed is more than just a way to send money to the Philippines but also because of its integrity and security over other types of service available in the online market today.

Advantage with Online Marketing Transactions

For most Filipino online marketing affiliates and online marketing professionals, the opening of PayPal in the Philippines will give a new dimension of opportunities as this will surely cause the boom of the internet industry in the country in terms of return of investments (ROI) with their online marketing efforts.

The first people who will benefit most from Paypal’s electronic commerce payment system will be search engine optimization (SEO) professionals and search engine marketing professionals (SEM) as this will give them extra advantage in terms of online marketing transactions and therefore would later on result to bigger return of investments with their business.

PayPal Means Boom of Philippine Internet

The Opening of PayPal will have the positive effects later this year and the coming years ahead as the e-commerce payment system will boost earnings of the online marketing professionals here in times the clients need to send money to the Philippines which I believe would eventually be the start that the Philippine government will see and take charge at developing the young internet industry in the country in hopes that Philippines will become the next big destination of internet business in Asia as the prime source of outsourcing jobs, knowledge process outsourcing and business process outsourcing like India.

Erap Gets Executive Clemency

posted by Philippines Review in News

Does Erap Deserve Executive Clemency?

Erap, received an executive clemency from the president for his convicted case against the Philippine government today. People from all walks of life are stay tuned to Erap’s executive clemency and release today. All eyes are on the former president Joseph Ejercito Estrada who is convicted for criminal cases against the Filipino people and the government trying to make things clearer as the Gloria Macapagal Arroyo distorts the criminal justice system with her executive power.

While the big time lawyers in the Sandiganbayan are all trying to put the statement on a trial regarding its constitutionality, I wonder what is the reason behind the sudden change of heart of the incumbent president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo when early after the conviction of the latter, she was announcing all over the world about the fair criminal justice system here in the Philippines. Is this her definition of fair? Could this be a sign of something more deathly evil cooking in the palace? These are just a few questions from friends in our community as I heard them talking about it.

Could Erap’s Release be a Sign of Desperation?

According to some of the best lawyers here in the Philippines early after finding out that Erap will get executive clemency from the office of the president, they organized to meet and seek for the constitutionality of the said executive clemency which is offered by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to the impeached president who is detained in Tanay.

The offer is said to be attached with condition that the former president should give a promise to not run again in the coming election. The people of the Philippines are all asking about this as another circus of the incumbent president and another effort to trick the Filipino people and mislead the ongoing hearings about the case that the First Family id involved in right now.

I believe that this is also a way to surf the interest of the people as the first family is going trough to a lot of pressure these past few days regarding the ongoing case on the ZTE broadband deal scam that they have been involved in.

Another Trick to Lure the People Away from the ZTE Scam

If this is another trick to cheat the legislature and the Filipino people, they better beware of this because the might of the people is surely mightier that the sword. This might lead to another upsurge of people power in a different form as the people are all aware of what is really going on and they seem to know that no EDSA will do anymore on this new trick to fool them on the white papers.

Let us all just see if this will lead to something in the next few days and I will remain vigilant about the ongoing updates on the news and so you all can expect that I will be doing more updates on this deception tactic against people of the Philippines.
