Blog Comments are Still Effective in SEO
Just the other day, I found out using a little experiment that blog comments do indeed help a lot in SEO efforts to make a webpage rank higher in no time. It took the site I used in my experiment only a few hours and it was propelled to 6 pages higher than it was before knowing that the keyword competition in the experiment I did was stiff. Yes it is stiff because I used the Busby SEO Challenge keyword in the experiment.
The only problem is even if I want to provide it here in this blog, I’m afraid that I cannot do it because I was not able to save a screenshot of the original ranking of the site to the new ranking. That was a mistake I learned from this little experiment. Allow me to tell you about the other details that helped me arrive at the conclusion that blog commenting is still alive and kicking when we talk of SEO advantage and using it as a tactic.
The Details and Specifics I Used
- I used a 5 year old domain with literally little links (77 to be exact) and rarely updated blog.
- I changed the title tag and description without updating the template for the purpose of seeing how the blog will react but so far, no result at all after days. More
