Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley
I’ve watched Pacquiao live streaming video free in his last fight. Sugar Shane Mosley is fresh from winning over Margarito. Pacquiao is out against Hatton in May 2. Miguel Cotto won over Jennings. Do you see an interesting match-up here? If you are thinking what I am thinking, you may be faster than the fists of Pacquiao. So who’s next? – Pacquiao vs Mosley!
This question is actually nothing new if you are good at boxing analysis and if you are a good boxing businessman like Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao which he showed in the fight negotiations against Hatton by not giving in to a lower share over the Englishman. This proves that Pacquiao has become a good businessman so I would like to take out the possibility that a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight will come through as a top choice.
Manny said in the news that if he wins, he will be out for at most 2 – 3 fights and he will retire. In those 2 or possible 3-fight margin, if you were Pacquiao, who would be a wise boxing business choice to fight next? I’ll leave you with that but read my opinion of possibilities below.
My Take for Pacquiao’s Options
- Pacquiao vs Cotto – option #1
- Pacquiao vs Mosley – option #2
- Pacquiao vs Mayweather – option #3
Now as I’ve said, if I were Pacquiao and think like a boxing businessman, this would be my top 3 choices and nothing else. This is where the big money will be and this is where his chance of winning and taking another fight will all depend. Read my reasons below.
Pacquiao vs Cotto is option #1 simply because we all know that Cotton and Hatton are two fighters who are almost alike in fight style which is to fight like a raging bull although Hatton is a lot more aggressive that Cotto. If Manny wins over Hatton, therefore, he should fight next, Miguel Angel Cotto.
Pacquiao vs Mosley is option #2 because if option #1 fails under a negotiation, # 2 (Mosley vs Pacquiao) would be a next best choice. Why? If Pacquiao fights straight with Mayweather whom we all know is the best and the only undefeated and undisputed champion of all time, then I believe that Manny does not play like a businessman. If he ever decide to go for option #3 at once without trying hard to take on #2, I believe he will be out for the fight of his life and the fight of the century.
Pacquiao vs Mayweather is option #3 thinking of the fact that there is no clue at all with how Manny will or can handle a fight with Floyd Mayweather and there is no link at all because the man is undefeated to the day he resigned. This means that this will be and should be his last wisest choice. I am not saying that this is an absolute list I got here but if you were Pacquiao, what would be your top 3 choices? Buy or make your ticket reservations early because if not, you might not get any live view of the fight.
