It was official according to news reports from ABS-CBN TV Patrol tonight, September 2, 2010 that the hostage taker in the recent Quirino Grandstand hostage crisis, police inspector Rolando Mendoza suffered 8 gunshot wounds. It was not reported though which among the 8 shots caused his death. More

Quirino Grandstand Hong Thai Bus hostage crisis new update video 9PM

It’s now 8:27 PM August 23, 2010 and the hostage taking in Quirino Grandstand in a Hong Thai tourist bus is still ongoing. The hostage taking is earlier reported to have taken place early today. The Chinese nationals included in the said hostage crisis were not yet identified but earlier, 4 Chinese nationals were already released including 2 kids, (possibly) a mother and a didabetic 73 year old man. when some demands were given to the hostage taker who is a dismissed policeman, allegedly with the name of Rolando Mendoza. More

The Filipino driver who was able to jump out of the bus is shouting that all the passengers were already dead but this is not yet confirmed.
