This was the first ever popular award that this beautifully tanned Filipina ever got aside from the numerous small but prestigious small awards Mercedes got from different films at University of the Philippines where she currently studies Fine Arts. Ms. Cabral is also involved in theater acting and she enjoys her slightly lit life in the wide screen portraying different kinds of life’s reality doing independent films.
Among Mercedes Cabral’s trophies in the shelf are best supporting actress in the 2007 University of the Philippines Inbox TV and Radio Festival with the film “Bitin”. The gorgeously simple black beauty in her will also soon glaze the big screen with her new role to portray in a Korean film titled “Thirst”, a vampire story. Another finished indie film is waiting for her to promote titled “Latak” is said to be one of the upcoming excellent performances that we will see of this Filipina honor of pure blood.
