Pamela Bianca Manalo Not in Semis
Pamela Bianca Manalo, the Philippines bet for the 2009 Miss Universe who won in the Bb Pilipinas 2009 to be the representative did not even make it to the semi finals. Nobody was really sure why this is the turnout when early on before the pageant started, there were buzz all around that she is one of the favorites in the swimming competition.
We all know that when you become a favorite, at least in any category that stands a point for you in making it to the semi finals of the competition. Pamela is beautiful and she couldn’t have made it to become our best bet if she didn’t deserve it and have the x-factor. I do believe that she has what it takes.

It’s just that maybe there are still a lot we have to learn from this experience, not just for our representative but also for all the people behind the Bb. Pilipinas which is actually the first step in winning the crown of the Miss Universe. In Venezuela, they even train their best bets in all aspects as what I’ve seen in the news which means they make their being candidates a career to look in to.
Maybe we lack the same passion for this beauty pageant and I hope the right authorities learn from this as well as the succeeding winners to become our bet in the Miss Universe pageant 2010.
