If I can remember it well, it was Rachel Lobangco who first portrayed Kokak in a television appearance probably back in the late 80′s. She the sexy controversial sheboom girl of San Miguel beer commercial.

Today, Kokak has been revived by GMA 7 Kapuso network and guess who’s playing the big role? Yes, it is none other than Sarah Lahbati as Kokak. She is not the new sexy imported version with her alluring face not of Pinay decent but more of an imported radish (labanos) we Pinoys colloquially call it. Ruben Marcelino’s Kokak come to life again and this time, the Starstruck sole survivor who is half-Filipina, half-Moroccan is sexier with her cute thin lips and fair face features. Sarah was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland as Sarah Lahbati Alzol back in October 9, 1993.

Paired with TJ Trinidad, let us see if this cute face is not just another cute showbiz girl. From my initial observation, watching her in a bus bound for Manila today after coming home from Kairukan Falls in Bataan, I can say that she’s got the face but her diction of Pinoy words is definite what needs some proper training. If she wants to make it in local showbiz, she had to be not just another cute girl on the block, she had to be versatile as she could in all aspects Pinoys expect from a star, otherwise, she’ll probably end up in the jar with one of those long lost beauties who lost their magic touch and eventually lost their career.
