Please advise me on what to do considering my circumstances as follows:
1. I graduated with honors (cum laude) from a state university in 1998 with BS Agriculture degree.
2. After graduation, I got employed in special projects under a government agency. My employment status has been either contracted or co-terminous which did not require me to submit CS Eligibility. Hence, I never applied for my CS Eligibility under PD 907.
3. This year, after undergoing the screening process, a government agency decided to hire me for a permanent post. Thus, I was required to submit the certificate of CS Eligibility.
4. I went to the CSC Regional Office to request such certification but I was advised that there is a new circular which regulates the issuance of eligibility of honor graduates under PD 907. Referring to the level of accreditation of the course which I took, the CSC personnel explained that I must verify from the university where I graduated if the course has reached level 3 accreditation at the time of my graduation.
5. And so I checked with the university. According to the professor I talked to, BS Agriculture was Level 2 at the time I graduated.
Considering the above, is it still possible to request for CS eligibility? Or wouldn’t a copy of the list of graduate students with honors, OTR and diploma be sufficient to qualify me to work for a government post requiring CS Professional eligibility?
Please help me. I need your advice.
Thank you very much.
