DFA Red Ribbon and Authentication Requirements
A few months ago this year, 2013, I wrote a help article entailing the different Philippine documents you can have in red ribbon but I wasn’t able to tell the story of how much fees to pay in having the documents authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs. Well, fact is, it is not just the DFA that offers this service. Other government offices do have and open their doors to serve authentication services in case or purpose needed by any Pinoy.
Just to help complete that post last March 2013, here is an article that will help you prepare for your red ribbon application procedure. This is of course, regardless of whatever document you want authenticated and sealed with that popular red ribbon (not the cake and pastry store).
Different Requirements for DFA Red Ribbon and Authentication Services
- The (CTC) certified true copy of the document that needs to be authenticated. Authentication process recognizable by seal presence must be done by the corresponding office where it was issued.
- Pay the authentication / red ribbon fee of Php 100.00 to the cashier’s office for regular processing which takes 5-7 business days and Php 200.00 for rush processing, out by 2-3 business days.
