Credit card in Philippines, with respect to application and use has significantly increased this holiday season.

This is true not just here but all over the world. Since it is once again holiday seasons and people from many parts of the world are hurrying it up to get to department stores to buy themselves or their loved ones something to wear in their Christmas occasion at home and at school, demand also increased. For this reason, credit card usage and application has significantly increased when the “ber” months came.

In Asia, particularly in the Philippines, the use of credit cards are dramatically increasing by bulk according to some unconfirmed reports be banks I saw in the news. This may be simply attributed to the increase in demand both by virtue of trends and need to get some credit because of unavailability of cash plus the added convenience that credit cards offer.

People seem to be irresistibly attracted to go and get a credit card of his / her own. They have resorted to putting more credit under their name with the use of a credit card especially now that the global economic crisis has greatly affected many parts of the world and is on its way to the Asian region and is starting to be felt by the population in some parts of Asian nations.

Although naturally, the use of credit cards do increase as the holiday nears, this year, it really did increase in bigger numbers, a further proof that people are becoming a little more dependent on using credit cards to buy what they need. I for one have used my card which has become stagnantly unused for months because I am expecting cashflow early this December for my regular work.
