It's my first day with a chiropractic doctor. My neck and shoulder pain was getting severe each day as I work on my computer as a SEO and blogger. I was actually hesitant a couple of hours ago as I tried calling some available services in Manila or somewhere near Caloocan City but it's been months now that I am planning to go to a chiro. My search online led to find out that these doctors do charge quite costly for middle income people like me. To think that most of them would offer a couple of sessions at a price ranging from Php 2,000.00 - Php 3,000.00 per treatment session.

Wow, that must be some money to spend depending upon the severity of your case of need for pain management. But as I've always known, health and wellness is a treasure and I'd do anything to become well. I've tried neck pain remedy via acupunture treatment, yoga exercises for pain, neck and shoulder pain remedy via acupressure and massage therapy and other neck and shoulder pain exercises as well.

Anyway, I was actually on my way to choosing from United Nations Chiropractic clinic in U.N. Avenue near Manila Doctors Hospital, Mabuhay Chiropractic Dasmarinas Vilage near San Antonio parish in Mc Kinley Street and N8 Upper Chiropractic in Jupiter street. I tried calling each and was very well received by each phone call receptionists and assistants.

My initial questions were answered with care. I wanted to make sure that my treatment should I decide to come over to any of the top 3 choices would be well worth every peso to spend. It's a holiday season and who doesn't need money these days but as I've said, I just want some assurance that my cervical spondylosis, neck and shoulder pain, arm numbness and hip pain will be a major concern to take out by the chiropractic doctor.

I've done my part via doing a short research and found out that the best option is Dr. Michel Tetrault of Mabuhay Chiropractic. Their clinic was second to the most expensive but turned out to be the most qualified for me based only on my own opinion and the answers provided to me by the telephone receptionists.

First Day of Chiropractic Treatment:

Here goes. My first day was a blast. A total one for a chiropractic in Manila. The reception was well. I was able to get to Mabuhay Chiropractic in time before my appointment with Bern, the assistant at 12:00 noon. Dr. Mike Tetrault is in his office. I brought with me my old x-ray negatives from Cavite in Wellcare Diagnostics from last September 2010 diagnosis result. This was the first time that I was diagnosed to suffer from cervical spondylosis by our family doctor - Dr. Michael Perez, a specialist in cardiology who also took care of my dad when he suffered from stroke.

The initial examination session turned out to be some sort of an informal conversation between me and doc Mike. It was very comfortable for me since it's my first time with a chiropractic doctor. He was Canadian and was able to marry a Filipina. I told him about my case, he asked me questions regarding my neck pain and shoulder pain history as well as my hip pain. On the other end, Dr. Mike also told me regarding his practice as a chiropractic doctor which is actually 33 years (not to mention his 9 years of study back in the U.S. where he revealed chiropractic is a mainstream as well as in the U.K.

Choosing the Philippines for his practice in the health and wellness industry as a chiropractic doctor seems more of a choice for love of the Philippines and his family for me which is a good indication for me chosing his service. It's perfect for me and the thousands more that he was able to help with having almost the same problem as I am having - cervical spondylosis, neck pain, shoulder pain and hip or lower back pain.

The Prescription:

Dr. Mike's prescription after the initial examination for a proper approach is to first have my x-ray with a diagnostic clinic for my neck, upper back and lower back. Coming back to the clinic at 3:00 pm, we proceed immediately after another patient of his went out and after he had my x-ray negatives analyzed with drawings and measurements. He showed me exactly what I needed to see and visually confirmed my problem with accompanied comprehensive explanation about it and what could possibly happen if not treated well earlier. He told me regarding chiropractic doctors offering a solution to my problem and explained also the part that medical doctors analysis on me and why chiropractic is the best option for me. Although the clarity was very finely explored right in my very eyes, I thought of 1 thing, will this be worth it? It's slowly but surely becoming clearer to me but I needed more, I know. So far, the first session alone brought me to think and go for the 10 more sessions. I opted in to continue because I really felt well knowing it's only the first one.

Initially, I told Dr. Mike that I am a bloggger and I will be chronicling the treatment that he is going to give me. This is just the first part.
