While many people mistakenly type in the wrong POEA web address, because of this they usually get frustrated in their search for the proper POEA accredited agencies that they are looking for. Even if you use POEA gov ph, less the dots or even if you use www.poea.gov.ph, you will get led to the results where you can find the actual official website of the POEA in the first place. Most importantly, you get right to the perfect information that you are looking for regarding overseas employment and the right agencies to look for them without getting scammed.

For those of you who are looking for agencies of POEA or local branches, there is none as you can only find one office where you can come and ask for employment that is POEA accredited. However, if you are looking for POEA accredited agency, they have an official list at their website of better yet, come to their office at Ortigas Avenue, near Meralco office in the corner of EDSA-Ortigas intersection where you can see their agency list. Jobs listed in their master list were however all duly approved by the government unless otherwise noted that this or that country is not accepting OFWs or overseas workers as of the day.

Anyone is always free to wait and see and come again some other time if available jobs will be posted in their billboards at their office in Ortigas. Mind you how ever that there is no other agency of POEA anywhere else fro my knowledge where you can see different POEA hiring for specific countries. I would like to remind you again that there is only one official website of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration in the Philippines and that is the only authorized agency of the government that releases countries who are allowing Filipino workers or what they call as POEA work abroad.

Just for information of those who are looking for the right website, I would like to tip you off that there is only one official website for POEA and that is www.poea.gov.ph and nothing else. Go straight to this website for more information only and do not go anywhere else so you won’t get frustrated with your search. Here are also a few common mistakes that many people looking for jobs in the POEA list commit: poea com, poea gov com, poea gov ph and www poea. If you happen to mistakenly type in these terms while searching for information be sure that you see the official logo of the POEA to assure you that you are in the right hands and to avoid any misleading information.

    I went to Power Horizon International, Resources, Inc. located at Unit A-41B Zeta II Building 191 SALCEDO St. Legaspi Village Makati City 1229 for a initial screening conducted by themselves. I learned from their manager(female) that they are hiring workers bound for US without asking placement fee but collecting from applicants a so called ” brokers fee daw” worth of US43,000 and also the applicants will be the one to provide their fare to US.

    My question is “does the POEA allow agencies like to do such business? Is this real job offering or they just bring Filipinos for nothing in the US.

    A lot of applicants applying for crab picking, laborers and others in this agency.

    They will conduct the interview by February 8, 2011 , 9AM to be conducted by the broker daw….Each applicant that pass the interview will then be introduced to a foreigner interviewer.

    I am hoping that you can clarify if this real or a scam since we all know that workers bound US dont have to pay any placement fee and the emplyer themselves will shoulder the airfare.

    After finishing the 2 day British Embassy Coaching,

    THIS AGREEMENT is made today between QATAR AIRWAYS UK of the

    ARTICLE 1: CONTRACT PERIOD
    The contract period shall be for Contract duration: The contract shall
    last for duration of 60 consecutive months; 5 years and could be

    ARTICLE 2: SALARY
    QATAR AIRWAYS UK shall pay Employee on satisfactory performance of the
    services the sum of (£ 8,630) Eight Thousand Six Hundred & Thirty GBP
    Basic (Tax inclusive) MONTHLY. I.e. After Tax.

    Payment will be made equivalent depending on employee’s home country.

    The employee will be reimbursed by the employer for reasonable moving
    expense incurred only as a result of relocation or early termination
    of leases, storage charges; procurement of travel documents.
    Reimbursements shall be made before employees embark on journey not
    later than Five (5) working days after submission of employee’s
    expense report and receipts, this after the acquisition of relevant
    traveling papers through the assistance of the company’s legal adviser
    on Immigration Matters.
    Employer shall also take care of employees’ air ticket including that
    of employee’s family only on employee’s early notification to employer
    and as shall be requested by employee (ONLY TWO FAMILY MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED)

    ARTICLE 3: Duties and Position.
    QATAR AIRWAYS UK hires the Employee in the capacity of Employee’s
    duties may be reasonably modified at QATAR AIRWAYS UK discretion from
    time to time.

    ARTICLE 4: Employee to Devote Full Time to QATAR AIRWAYS UK.
    The Employee will devote full time, attention, and energies to the
    business of the Aviation industry, and, during this employment, will
    not engage in any other business activity, regardless of whether such
    activity is pursued for profit, gain, or other pecuniary advantage.
    Employee is not prohibited from making personal investments in any
    other businesses provided those investments do not require active
    involvement in the operation of said companies.

    ARTICLE 5: Confidentiality of Proprietary Information.
    Employee agrees, during or after the term of this employment, not to
    reveal confidential information from rendering any services to any
    entity to whom said information has been or is threatened to be
    disclosed, the right to secure an injunction is not exclusive, and the
    COMPANY may pursue any other remedies it has against the Employee for
    a breach or threatened breach of this condition, including the
    recovery of damages from the Employee.

    ARTICLE 6: Disability.
    In the event that the Employee cannot perform the duties because of
    illness or incapacity for a period of more than 1 month, the
    compensation otherwise due during said illness. The Employee’s full
    compensation will be reinstated upon return to work. However, if the
    Employee is absent from work for any reason for a continuous period of
    over 2 months, the COMPANY may terminate the Employee’s employment,
    and the QATAR AIRWAYS UK obligations under this agreement will cease
    on that date.

    ARTICLE 7: Termination of Agreement.
    Without cause QATAR AIRWAYS may terminate this agreement at any time upon 6 days’ written notice to the Employee the Employee will
    continue to perform his/her duties and may be paid his/her regular
    salary up to the date of termination. In addition, QATAR AIRWAYS will
    pay the Employee on the date of the termination a severance allowance,
    less taxes and Social Security required to be withheld, without cause,
    the Employee may terminate employment upon 6 days’ written notice to
    the Employer. Employee may be required to perform his or her duties
    and will be paid the regular salary to date of termination but shall
    not receive severance allowance. Notwithstanding anything to the
    contrary contained in this agreement,

    ARTICLE 8: Death Benefit.
    Should Employee die during the term of employment, QATAR AIRWAYS shall pay to Employee’s Next of kin/Family any compensation due through the end of the two months in which death occurred.

    ARTICLE 9: OTHER BENEFITS

    provided and not expressly provided in this agreement.

    ARTICLE 11: Settlement by Arbitration.
    Any claim or controversy that arises out of, or relates to this
    agreement, or the breach of it, shall be settled by arbitration in
    accordance with the rules of the United Kingdom Arbitration
    Association. Judgment upon the award rendered may be entered in any
    court with jurisdiction.

    ARTICLE 12: Severability.
    If, for any reason, any provision of this agreement is held invalid,
    all other provisions of this agreement shall remain in effect. If this
    agreement is held invalid or cannot be enforced, then to the full
    extent permitted by law any prior agreement between the QATAR AIRWAYS (and any predecessor thereof) and the Employee shall be deemed reinstated as if this agreement had not been executed.

    It seems that I am not protected with the laws of foriegn workers since I don’t have a copy of my rights as a worker. I was not given a copy of it by my employer since I started working with them.

    Could you help me find a copy of the Laws governing foriegn workers in Okinawa Japan?

    This will be a big help if in case. At least I will know my rights and I know how to talk to my employer if there will be a violation against my contract.

      Isa lang masasabi ko… Napakaraming manloloko sa ngayon ang gumagala sa internet at nawa’y maging kritikal tayong mag isip sa mga bagay bagay lalu na kung usapin ng premyo, panalo, biyaya, “you are chosen” and stuff like that. Kung wala naman po kayong ginawa para makatanggap ng anu pa mang pabuya, premyo, pera, trabaho at iba pa, sa palagay ko ang common sense na lamang ang dapat pairalin.

      Walang anu pa mang bagay ang dumarating sa ating buhay ng hindi natin pinaghirapan…. Kung may dumating man na akala nyo ay inyo ngunit hindi naman kayo ang may kagagawan, chances are, hindi po ito totoo.

They are the ones whom I talked to just to have a caregiver job in Singapore. I was being interviewed by a Singaporean employer in the said agency last July 23, 2012 (Monday). I gave them money amounting to P11, 000.00. I am a single mom for 10 years already. I just wanted to help my only son to sustain his allowance in school and to have his therapy amounting to P2,500 every session ‘coz of a certain illness. That’s why I am eager to be in other country to get a better job. I am an English teacher here in our country for Koreans. I just wonder why there are people who get advantage of people who are weak and no other means to get that amount of money just to try to be in other country. They can do foolish things like that!! We are Filipinos who live in one country
    and we suppose to help each other to have a good life in this country. Let’s take a look at Koreans, Chinese and other nationalities who help each other so they have a better
    economy now. We can do that, too!! We only have to understand and help each other.
    I also want to teach Filipino students ‘coz of the conscience that I am a Filipino myself but I lack education units so I here I am teaching Koreans for almost 4 years. Then I will encounter such a Kababayan here in our own country who can still fool me. It’s so unfair!! We have a good president now, we have to be a good follower, too!! So we can have a good country as well!!
    Please help me to resolve the problem of illegal recruiters so there will be no victims
    in the future. I already went to Isumbong Mo Kay Tulfo and CIDG Camp Crame to file a case with these two people. I just think that it is better to send a message to your office ‘coz I know that you have many lists of other recruitment agencies that might encounter such problem as I had in France Asia. Now, I just realize that if I’m not lucky to have a job abroad, I will just work here and serve our country as well.

They are the ones whom I talked to just to have a caregiver job in Singapore. I was being interviewed by a Singaporean employer in the said agency last July 23, 2012 (Monday). I gave them money amounting to P11, 000.00. I am a single mom for 10 years already. I just wanted to help my only son to sustain his allowance in school and to have his therapy amounting to P2,500 every session ‘coz of a certain illness. That’s why I am eager to be in other country to get a better job. I am an English teacher here in our country for Koreans. I just wonder why there are people who get advantage of people who are weak and no other means to get that amount of money just to try to be in other country. They can do foolish things like that!! We are Filipinos who live in one country
    and we suppose to help each other to have a good life in this country. Let’s take a look at Koreans, Chinese and other nationalities who help each other so they have a better
    economy now. We can do that, too!! We only have to understand and help each other.
    I also want to teach Filipino students ‘coz of the conscience that I am a Filipino myself but I lack education units so I here I am teaching Koreans for almost 4 years. Then I will encounter such a Kababayan here in our own country who can still fool me. It’s so unfair!! We have a good president now, we have to be a good follower, too!! So we can have a good country as well!!
    Please help me to resolve the problem of illegal recruiters so there will be no victims
    in the future. I already went to Isumbong Mo Kay Tulfo and CIDG Camp Crame to file a case with these two people. I just think that it is better to send a message to your office ‘coz I know that you have many lists of other recruitment agencies that might encounter such problem as I had in France Asia. Now, I just realize that if I’m not lucky to have a job abroad, I will just work here and serve our country as well.

    i just wondering coz a lot of agencies who are opportunistic to the applicants, the fact that there is a poea rules for placement fees to be collected to the individuals. they are asking 3x for the 1month salary of the applicant, is the POEA can do about?
