Yes, I bet we are to expect more from Yahoo this new year 2009 as the San Francisco news told that Yahoo is indeed freezing their employee salaries in favor of something global and new to develop more on their company fortunes. This is actually old news that Yahoo released late last year in unison to the announcement of their final quarter earnings of 2oo8.

This time, the interest of Yahoo has totally changed as it lobbies their earnings to channel in developing their web interests and to give more proof to company stockholders that they are giving their money’s worth trying to compete with the world’s best search engines now. According to Yahoo spokesperson, Kim Rubey, “The executive team decided that providing annual salary increases
would not be in the best interests of the company or shareholders,”

Some of the internet buzz roaming around is telling about predictions that this year will indeed be something big with Yahoo’s newly appointed chief executive, Carol Bartz. It is also said that “she will shake up Yahoo!” Bartz is a former veteran executive of the famed Silicon Valley who vows to revive the sleeping internet mecca in Yahoo as she calls on critics to standby and give the company some room first.

Guess what? Since Yahoo was founded by its very own executive Jerry Yang in 1994, the internet mecca never had its best and the executive just had his time after shaky tenure as the same chief executive of the company in Sunnyvale California. Yang, who stepped down last November 18 is now replaced by Bartz who is already 60 years old.
