Prices of LPG Dramatically Increased Once More

In the Philippines, although the actual prices of oil is an inevitable part of history that repeats itself and eventually die down, this time it’s something different. The Department of Energy is claiming that there is no shortage of liquefied petroleum which is the main ingredient for LPG tanks that we use to cook our meal but the truth is that there really is a shortage.

I experienced this myself just this start of January where we ran out of LPG and so I just resorted to cooking with the use of charcoal because there is not Shellane brand of LPG at all in the market for me to buyl. I have called so many suppliers and dealers in our area but failed to get even just one tank for me to survive cooking our family meal for 1 month and a half which is our consumption duration for an 11 kilo LPF tank in full load.

While this is the case, OFW meanwhile were also in clamor for the very low rate of the peso-dollar exchenge because they are bound to remit money to their loved ones here in the Philippines and for this matter, their respective families this month will get a little less with the low exchange rate of dollar to peso. Going back to the original story, today, a neighbor on the other hand just took an order of LPG and she said that the prices increased once more as it climbed up from Php 500.00 into Php 580.00. This is big increase for us who are regular users of LPG and I wish that the government will have something to do about this increase soon.
