Typhoon Pepeng Sinks Pangasinan

Almost 70% of Pangasinan sank according to the Pepeng news update tonight, October 9, 2009. Rains sank major cities and streets with the flash floods brought about by typhoon Pepeng (typhoon Parma) added by Dam water release due to critical levels.

The floods of Pepeng brought to some parts of the Philippines again into one of the widest mass destruction since typhoon Ondoy which ravaged the land a couple of weeks ago. In videos on the news, SM Mall in Pangasinan was shut since last night because of the floods.

Hundreds of workers and shoppers were stranded inside the said mall, some can even be seen from a news helicopter roving around Pangasinan staying on the roof. Looters roam around to see what they can get from the chest deep flood. A pregnant woman was even caught up in the floods but was saved by a helicopter.

4 major dams were threatening to release amounts of water anytime because of the non-stop rain due to storm Pepeng. See video of the Pepeng floods on the streets below.
