NSO Birth Certificate Change Name
There are so many issues involved if you need your birth certificate change name, change middle name, date of birth, change surname and even the sex or gender. Many Filipinos have this problem (wrong spelling) with their certificate of live birth records in the National Statistics Office (NSO) or Census.

NSO Birth and Marriage Certificate
If you are one of them, please make sure that you go directly to the NSO website and refer to the rules on how to correct your birth certificate name. Be sure also that you will not go with fixers and beware of them. There are plenty around. Yes it is SOP for anyone with a NSO record be it birth, death, CENOMAR, marriage certificate to have the correct details. This is especially if for documentation purposes like legalities, passport, school requirements and so on.

=NSO Birth Certificate Gender correction=
Hi,
Good Day!
I just want to ask the process on how to correct Gender in NSO Birth Certificate. I found out this issue when I applied for a Passport in DFA. They grant me a passport and was advice to correct my Birth Certificate before it expires on December 2010. I’m naturally born MALE, but on my NSO Birth Certificate it says FEMALE. I believe I need to undergo a Court procedure any other options? Because it’s too expensive to hire an Attorney. Please advise, appreciate your immediate feedback.

Sorry po kasi as of now that is the only option. Matrabaho at masalimuot pero yan po kasi ang hinihingi ng batas natin sa ganitong mga pagkakataon at kaso so i’m afraid you will have to undergo with the process if you want your NSO birth certificate gender to be corrected.

Hi,
Advice ko lang sayo David kasi ganun rin ako noon I am female but my gender was male. Pumunta ka sa inyong City Trial Court doon ka magfile ng case mo tapos doon mo na malaman ang next steps it will be published in the local News paper with in your City, with in three consecutive weeks. No need to get a Private attorney kasi mahal 15-20 thousand pesos noon. it took 6 months before the result.

HI. GOOD DAY>
thanks.
