POEA license had to be renewed each year, for this reason, POEA accredited agencies for the year 2009 will change by 2010 so be sure to check back here by 2010 for updated licensed agencies listed by POEA. Only check job offers and approved placement agencies at the official POEA website – www.poea.gov.ph. To avoid making a mistake on the URL, here is a simple POEA website search tip.
Before applying for jobs abroad this year 2009, try to see first if the work agency you are applying for is legally bound by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, visit the list of agencies duly accredited by the POEA using the link above to verify job orders. To verify agencies and job orders through SMS, just text POEA to 2765.
Make sure that there is no extra application fees or charges for the employment you want to apply for. If the agency is charging fees, be sure to ask the POEA about the matter. “It is illegal to charge any other additional fees for any legal agencies listed in the POEA”.

I already verified at your given site (www.poea.gov.ph/cgi-bin/agSearch.asp) regarding the accreditation of PACIFIC MEDITERRENIAN INTERNATI0NAL MANPOWER AGENCY INC, but to no avail. I think the site is not well functioning. Can you recommend me another way of knowing the accreditation? aside from texting also because I’m not living in the Philippines right now, and I can’t text to POEA 2765. LPN manpower agency..I saw this agency on your list of accredited agencies but why a lot of their applicants are withrawing their documents,actually we pay for medical fee of P2700 and processing fee worth P5000., after 4 months my medical certificate already expired and as what personnel of LPN manpower Agency told me that they will just return half of my processing fee (equiv. P2500) as a refund….The liason officer of LPN agency stated that the problem was at the employer in saudi arabia. My question is, Is this agency really accredited by the POEA? they will earn a lot money, the agency continuing to recruit, but nothings happen to the applicants. please do some actions.

If it was placement fee they charged you with. I believe that it is clearly against the law on recruitment standards by POEA. What you should do is to immediately report that agency to POEA so you will get back all that you deserve to get plus they could possibly get their license revoked if proven plus they could also be charged with other offense accordingly.
Please also note that being accredited by the POEA does not necessarily mean they will not do things that are against employment laws or labor laws by the Philippine government. Note also that no placement or employment agency has the right to ask or charge any applicant with any amount as placement fee. Just go to POEA and make inquiries.

Actually there is a placement fee of P25,000 and the other 25,000 is salary deduction payable for 3 months, P5000 is required for processing fee and for my saudi VISA , so I gave P5000 as a processing fee dated january 5, 20009, then I’ll supposed to give the remaining P20,000 once I had the plane ticket. hi! I just had my orientation in Javier International Manpower Services this afternoon. I applied for front desk officer in Canada. Mr. Al discussed about the payment, salary etc.about the job. The process would be, first medical examination 3,270 then after 7-10 days the result will be released (Do I really have to wait that long?) If fit to work, I will pay 20k for the interview through web cam with the employer.If I will not be qualified I can refund the 15k only. (I’m wondering why not evaluate first the resume of applicants before the interview) but since 5k is non-refundable I can have another interview for free. Then if ever I passed the interview I have to pay 20k again for the LMO (2 months processing) then 20k for the Embassy. so 60k cash out then I have to wait 3-4 months for the VISA. Once the Visa is handed to me I have to pay 40k. Oh, airfare included. But I have just checked the Job Order in POEA website, unfortunately front desk officer and other jobs in Canada are not listed. I just found the job at workabroad.ph, all the job listed under Javier Int’l Agency like 25 front desk officer, 65 Fast food workers, 75 housekeeper, 15 servers etc. are not listed on the Job Order. So does it mean that the Agency is operating illegally without the Job Order? Please reply because a friend that I just met during the orientation is planning to have her medical exam on Mon. Thanks! Your immediate response will truly be appreciated.

Same as Rem rose..I applied in LPN Manpower Agency and they advised me to have my medical examination and gave a 5 thousand downpayment. Kung gustong mong i widraw..They will immediately return your papers but the money will be schedule DAW? When follow up, they will answer you ” Hindi pa po nagbigay ng sked si Mam, etc. Iba’t ibang staff yong magprocess, Una si Maribel, Pangalawa si Joyce, pag pera na yong si Emilia Iqbal yata, yung may ari ng agency yung nagtanggap..Kaya payo po sa mag aaply sa LPN agency na BEWARE..Check muna sa POEA kung may JOB ORDER..ito yong adress LPN MANPOWER SERVICES, INC.

Lyl, remember that it is always illegal for any POEA accredited recruitment agency (if your cousin’s agency is licensed in POEA) to ask for placement fee or even processing fee. The medical fee should be optional if you want to take your medical exam outside with private medical firms or hospitals.
Pwede po ma cancel ang license ng agency kung mapapatunayang sumingil sila ng pera sa applicant kahit hindi dapat. Ano po ba ang agency na inaplyan nya? Paki list po dito sa comment so I can see if accredited yan ng POEA or you can also check it here – http://poeacheck.com/resources.php

Don’t trust any job agency unless they show you that they are accredited by the POEA. It has been proven every now and then that agencies collecting money without showing their license or accreditation from the POEA to applicants would yield negative results. Maam / sir good pm…nag apply po ako maam sa Arix world international as a singer. nakapasa po ako at nag pirma na rin po ako ng contract kasi ang sabi sa akin need daw yon sa pag process ng visa. Matagal po akong nag hintay ng visa ko. mga 4 months din po. Gayong ung iba 2 weeks lang nakarating na ang mga visa nila. Kaya ng medyo napagod na ako kakahintay nag sabi na po ako na mag back out ako. Pero nang magpaalam ako parang ayaw nila akong payagan, ayaw ibigay ang passport ko na hawak na rin nila. Nagsinungaling nalang ako na buntis ako kaya di ako tutuloy.
Ang gusto ko lang po malaman kung legal po ba na hingan nila ako nang bayad sa visa na na issue na nila. Nong una ang hinihingi nila is 200US dollar. Now na na release na daw talaga ang visa, mas malaki na daw ang babayaran ko. Legal po ba ito maam. Pwede po ba akong kumuha nalang ng bagong passport….e lost passport ko nalang kasi malaki po kasi masyado para sa akin ang hinihingi nila. Ano po kayang dapat kong gawin?

Jobs will only be legally bound by Philippines government terms if they are from POEA accredited agencies. 2. Do not deal with licensed agencies without job orders.
3. Do not deal with any person who is not an authorized representative of a licensed agency.

5. Do not pay more than the allowed placement fee. It should be equivalent to one month salary, exclusive of documentation and processing costs.

i just want to share a bad experience with PMI agency (cebu/manila)..they told us na salary deduction yung placement..yet when documents are all ready na and ready to fly…they will tell you na you have to pay the placement ..which is equivalent to your one month salary…how can you produce such amount in a short span of time.
also with LPN ….they will ask your documents and eventually…wla pa lang employer..pag nabigay mo na lahat nag documents especially yung mga original…no can no longer or will have a hard time applying for other agency.

… In my opinion po, it is best kung may problema po kayo sa isang employment agency na lumapit po kayo sa POEA. They are the only ones who know best. Sa kanila nyo rin malalaman kung ang isang placement or employment agency ay duly accredited to recruit manpower for work abroad. Salamat po sa pagbisita dito sa Internet Philippines.
