Helterbrand wins 2009 PBA MVP award in the recent Leo Awards by the Philippine Basketball Association. Jayjay won over his other competing players 7 to be exact all in all. His family is very proud that he finally snatched the Most Valuable Player award in PBA for the first time.
His team mates in Barangay Ginebra Kings are all proud that their team mate Jayjay Helterbrand is the one who snatched the said yearly prestigious award in the PBA. KFC-PBA Philippine Cup finals’ most valuable player (MVP) award tight race include players from other teams in the likes of:
