Gaining Leverage Again
Today I found that the team entry increased in rankings and this could be because of the clashes of efforts pointing to one direction, the main keyword to this contest, “Busby SEO Challenge”. We only made a few great link building efforts and it did great. I personally feel something different with the search engine, Google these days, behaving a little bit unusual but since it favored our entries, we took the liberty to let it be and because like the others, we can’t do anything about it. Sometimes you really have to literally do nothing to make things work and just wait for a mistake from the other camps.
Optimization, wise, onpage, this entry to the Busby SEO Challenge SEO Worldcup is not way to be left behind because we are posting in a regular basis (at least to our standards). This one thing really amazes me because there are so many entries that never even bother to take a post or two in weeks and yet they manage to make it to the top. It has been said so many times that “regular posting (if you have a blog) can really help in terms of SEO”.
This is rarely followed in a contest and I bet there are only a few of those guys out there, our competitors to this SEO challenge who does the same thing we do. Maybe they are avoiding triggering something they do not know what effects will give to their entries. Well, for our team it is very much the same. We don’t really care as long as we update regularly.
The only thing we haven’t optimized to this day is our meta description and we don’t know if this will give us a boost but for now we will leave it behind. To the other camps, there are a few people who are installing malicious software in our entry. We hope this stops, and may this serve as a warning to others to be careful.
