Hanging with the Busby SEO Challenge Rules

June 13th, 2008 posted by Philippines Review

I visited the SEO Worldcup just yesterday to claim the sites that I am entering into the Busby SEO Test based in Australia and I found out that the page is no longer there. User wise and as one of the legitimate participants to this challenge, we were not informed of any moves by the main sponsor, Busby Web Solutions that there will be changes.

I am glad that a member of the team I am in to informed me about the change of the page of the registration. There is another thing about the Busby SEO challenge, the claim part of the participants seem a little bit harder than we expect it to be. From the start I have been questioning our local forum and visiting also the Busby Forum which is based in Au and taking a look at some of the contest rule changes. I’ve passed on taking a look for a few days but I learned that there is another change to the registration page where the participants will be required to log in and put in place the different site/website entries to this SEO contest.

This is great and another thing is that we seem to be in a complete clueless efforts on if we are to optimize our entries based on a geo targeted scheme or just go for the Google standards which is in the U.S. or if there is any data center with which the participants will have to base their campaign. This is very important and it only came to my mind when Busby Web Solutions posted a June 11-based report on the results of the rankings.

I was surprised to find out that the results did not match based on my expectations on what the team have been looking for in the past 1 week duration of the challenge. This is something that we missed asking the to the main sponsor which we should have thought that since they are based in Australia that they will be taking the ranking report from the said place so here goes.
