MRT 24 Hour Operation Fails to Push Through

After 1 days of non stop operation of the MRT generated revenue good for only more than 5 thousand passengers on the first day of its 24-hour operation in the service of its commuters, the second day was a failure to even retain that number of passenger. After announcing on Jun2, 2009, the next day after the 24 hour first operation of the MRT – 3, general manger Reynaldo Berroya, withdrew on the second day.

Operating with less than 24 hours as promised, the MRT – 3 management finally decided to withdraw the 24 hour possibility of operational hours for the commuters. This was announced after the second day of the operation failed to give a higher revenue to the management.

MRT-3 general manager Reynaldo Berroya announced that starting June 1, the Metro Rail Transit or MRT-3 on EDSA is going on 24-hour operations. This is a good start for the commuters but since it did not push through, I bet that the management cannot really go on with loosing more money just to give way to the request of passengers.
