When will US Embassy be open for business?

The US Embassy has been closed for two days due to the flooding in Metro Manila caused by (Habagat) monsoon rain. it will still be closed for business Thursday, today, August 9, 2012. This is a signal to all who are taking care of their US visa and other related matters trying to fall in the very long line each and every weekdays in front and out of the embassy building that the resuming appointments are all suspended since Tuesday and are still not pushing through with their processing of papers and request for immigrant visa, non immigrant visa and other US Citizen services related matters.

This update was posted on their website Wednesday here – http://manila.usembassy.gov/. The embassy said it would reschedule appointments of American citizens with cancelled appearances on August 7, 8 and 9. Non-citizens whose visa appointments were cancelled may reschedule their appointments on their own through the embassy’s call center, (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930.

Flooding forced the US embassy to suspend work on Tuesday and Wednesday and due to security reasons decided to close today, Thursday August 9, 2012. Wait for further announcment regarding the possible opening of the US Embassy on Friday August 10, 2012.
