Boys Over Flowers Philippine TV Series – Sarah Geronimo

I was able to pick up a buzz that Sarah Geronimo will be playing the major role of Geum Jan Di in Boys Over Flowers Philippine TV Series. The F4 Boys were not yet revealed by the source I was able to take a peek at.
What do you think about the remake idea on BOF in Tagalog? Will it work out with Sarah Geronimo? Is she the best choice or will she fit for the role or is Kim Chiu a better choice first hand being half Chinese? Who do you think would fit the F4 boys among the local Philippine actors? yes, sarah geronimo is very much fit the role of geum jan di…..and not kim chiu d cya bagay……………..for me sarah is not only good in singing but also in acting

here’s my choice:
ENCHONG DEE- Dao ming Si – He’s the best that i could think of to portray the role of Dao Ming Si/ Jun Pyo. He looks ‘maangas’ just like Dao Ming Si in the Taiwan Version. Moreover, he’s soooo cute:) Gerald Anderson on the other hand is sooo ’tisoy’ and so with John Lloyd i think he is too old to portray the role.
MAJA SALVADOR- San Cai – She’s the best for the San Cai/ Jandi’s role. She’s good both in comedy and drama.

i think that Sarah Geronimo is the PERFECT one for the role!!!
who says sarah isn’t good at acting?she is even better in acting compared to Kim Chiu..not that I don’t like Kim Chiu but I think that Sarah is very flexible…she had drama series too and it shows how good in acting she is…

SARAH GERONIMO is the only person that would fit the role. She is far way better compare to Kim Chiu in any way. Si Kim ang alam lang ay ngumiwi sa acting, pati ngiti nya ngiwi. Just to inform everyone, the legends artists of the Philippine movies admire Sarah for her acting because she has what it takes to be a drama queen, ung my SUBTANCE!! Like Armida Segion Reyna, whom admires Sarah!! Kimeralds, alam ntin sa sarili natin na hindi nya kayang tapatan si Sarah. Tanggapin na lang nyo yan.

For me…..Sarah Geronimo…..natural kase mag act si Sarah, and besides and role ni Geum Jan di ay isang ordinary person. And Sarah is fit in that role. Mayaman kasi dating ni Kim Chu. mukha pa lang parang wala siyang experience sa klase ng buhay ni geum jan di. Sarah Geronimo is fit in the role… it will be more fun and exciting if she is the one acting than Kim chu. She expresses naturally than Kim Chu. And if its Kim Chu. I can’t imagine (the Chaos). Kim Chu Doesn’t act like Sarah does, in my opinion kim chu lacks expression, she doesn’t know how to express, sometimes is exagerrating that it becomes unpleasant. really unpleasant. she may pass as a villain in a story, she should try that role. I think she will pass. I think if she will be having a role in boys over flower Filipino version she may fit as one of the girls that always tease Guem jan di or one of the rich girls in the drama, or Guem jan di’s Rival for Jun Pyo. I really look up to Koreans when creating a tv series. It’s some kinda unusual. And the boys over flowers korean version? It was great! I love the concept and everything. It didn’t rely much on other version instead the flow of the story is thrilling and not boring.
This upcoming boys over flowers philippine remake will be one of the trademarks of the filipinos. But wait, we don’t need any chinitas to portray the role instead let a pure filipina like Sarah to take the lead, so if ever that this manga would be a hit at least the lead actress is a Filipina. and not some chinitas or whatever. because the three previous manga are all “singkit” so I think it’s time to take a diff. route.
Maja Salvador would be also suitable for that role. One she can portray any role and she’s very versatile I think she’s more suitable than Sarah but it’s the management’s decision anyway
it’s only my opinion. don’t you ever try to oppose it. Haha .OK! I’ll be lookin forward to it!

Version:It was written in the Upcoming Programs at the Adaptations and Manga Series..I agree with k_r…alam niyo kasi dati ko pa gusto na si sarah ang magplay ng geum jandi kasi like what k_r said kung magreremake ng isang overseas version for the country’s own one kailangan pinapakita yung culture at yung mukha ng pinay.No offense to kim’s fans but I think she wouldn’t fit Pinas’ JanDi because she looks more of a typical chinese cutie and not a filipina one.It may look like she’s playing Meteor Shower=China’s version!!!!so to all those who don’t want sarah to be JanDi visit this site-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programs_broadcast_by_ABS-CBN#Upcoming_programs

i think this will be the better casts of philippine f4:
jun pyo – KRISTOFER DANGCULOS (he has bad boy image, astig, gwapo, matangkad perfect 4 the role of junpyo!)
ji hoo – JHAKE VARGAS (handsome, mukhang tahimik, mysterious, has a very sute smile just like ji hoo, hes a singer and a guitarist perfect for the role of ji hoo!)
yi jeong – JOSHUA DIONISIO (cute just like kim bum, great actor, has a cute and angelic face and smile saka sya talaga yung feel ko for the role of yi jeong)
woo bin – LUCHO AYALA/MARK CASTILLO (either sakanila ay pwede i think. yung kay mark kasi maxadong matangkad, and as for lucho masyadong astig kasi alam ko kind ang role ni woo bin but pwedeng pwede talaga silang dalawa for the role of woobin)
as for jan di role i think pwede na rin si ELIZA PINEDA.
as for ga eul – BARBIE FORTEZA
as for soojin – BEA BINENE
as for the loveteam of woo bin – JHOANNA TAN/JOYCE CHING

i hope na sana magkaisa ang dalawang magkaribal na channel for the remake of this famous tv series. kasi sila lang yung mga naisip ko na bagay talaga sa role (swak na swak) at young and fresh pa. so sana sila nalang. im sure na mag hi-hit ito dahil sanib-pwersa ang kapamilya at kapuso. kahit for once lang for the sake of this remake. at alam kong kaya nila dahil marami na rin silang napatunayan.

i think that it would be better for the remake to have fresh/new faces. Look at Marimar and May bukas pa. It was loved by the Pinoys because the main roles are newbies (but really good actors). I think they should just cast an audition open for everyone so that they can search for new ones fit to play the roles. .I don’t think they would fit the role of Jan Di/ Makino/ San Chai because 1st: they are too tall for the role, the lead girl should be atleast 5ft-5′2 in height and she should still look small even in heels 2nd: their faces are already known by many Pinoys because of numerous endorsements and former t.v. shows, I guess people would be bored na 3rd: kim is HALF-CHINESE, and we’re trying to make a PINOY version right? she already did a remake in my girl, let’s not repeat it. If we’re trying to make our PINOY version, why not let pure pinoy be in the show. 4: Sarah G. is a great singer. And she’s a good actress. But still, she will not fit for the role because she fits the O.A. roles not the strong-willed roles.
Please, cCONSIDER THE ABILITIES of the actors/actresses who will play a role if they can really act the way their characters should act, or if it’s reall “BAGAY” for them (meaning they don’t look like engot, or shongga, or OA when they act), not because they’re the network’s royalties or the most famous in the country. This story has been part of the Asian culture already, so if Philippines will be trying to make a version, I hope it would be great. And they should aim for the Pinoys to appreciate it, not to have a “BETTER VERSION” than the past ones. Every version is nice because it shows every country’s culture and it’s beautiful places, it’s problems, and it’s great actors/actresses and directors.

i think it would be better if there’s no remake in tagalog version. nothing compares to the original… besides BOF was already translated in tagalog so, why bother to have a remake… They should find another korean novela rather than BOF. BOF was far better than meteor garden. Very outstanding drama and colourful love story… that’s why it became addictive mania to most people of all ages….The characters portrayed were exemplary delivered… If there’s a filipino remake, hope it is pleasing to the viewers. something that can make us enjoy and bring kilig…
